The Higher Institute for Professional Development and Training (HIPDET) is a prominent educational institution located in Bamenda, Cameroon. Established in 2015, HIPDET has rapidly gained recognition as a leading provider of vocational education and training (TVET) in the region. The institution was initially accredited as a vocational training center by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training and later received accreditation as a private university by the Ministry of Higher Education in 2016. Mission and Vision HIPDET is dedicated to developing the professional capacities of young people, equipping them with the skills necessary for successful careers in various fields. The institute aims to create a proactive and progressive educational environment that addresses the evolving needs of students and the community, fostering self-awareness and active participation. Academic Programs HIPDET offers a diverse range of programs across several disciplines, including: Business and Management: Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Executive Secretarial Studies. Engineering and Technology: Civil and Structural Engineering. Biomedical Sciences: Nursing and Medical Laboratory Studies. Hospitality and Tourism: Tourism Management and Hotel Management. Education and Vocational Development: Didactics specialization. With over 2,000 students enrolled locally and an additional 1,000 studying across six countries, HIPDET is committed to providing high-quality education that prepares graduates for the global job market.
